My Story

Hello, and welcome to EmpowerHer Journey.

I’m Italia Tornabene, and I want to share with you the story behind EmpowerHer Journey and why it holds such a special place in my heart. My journey to this point has been marked by resilience, transformation, and a deep desire to help others overcome the challenges I once faced.

Years ago, I found myself in a place of darkness and uncertainty. I was a single mother, homeless, struggling to find stability, and had turned to sex work as a means of survival. The world seemed overwhelming, and hope felt distant. Yet, even in those hardest moments, a spark within me refused to be extinguished. I knew that my life had a greater purpose, and I was determined to find it.

Through sheer determination, support from a few kind souls, and an unyielding belief in my own potential, I began to rebuild my life. I pursued education, started my own businesses, and eventually found success and stability. But I never forgot where I came from or the struggles that shaped me.

EmpowerHer Journey is the culmination of my life’s experiences and my commitment to making a difference. Our mission is to help homeless single mothers and sex workers transition out of their difficult circumstances and into lives of stability and fulfillment. We provide support for education, business start-ups, daycare expenses, and transportation, offering a comprehensive network of resources to empower women to take control of their futures.

I founded EmpowerHer Journey because I believe that everyone deserves a second chance, a helping hand, and the opportunity to rewrite their story. My own journey is a testament to the power of resilience, community, and unwavering faith in one’s potential.
